Silicon is necessary for plants as. Topic: Influence of silicon on plant development

Silicon is essential for our body to maintain health and youth.

It is not for nothing that the people say: it is not a man - flint, which means strong. Flint in translation from Greek means cliff, rock. In foreign languages, it is called silicium or silicone (from the Latin silex - flint or silicium - silica).

If there is little silica in the ground, the plants get sick. If there is little silicon in seawater, algae cease to multiply. If a person's body lacks silicon, his eyes become ill, enamel from his teeth is erased, nails become thin and brittle, skin and hair deteriorate - baldness may begin.

Lack of silicon in the body contributes to the following serious diseases: cataracts, atherosclerosis, diabetes, dystrophy, epilepsy, hepatitis, erysipelas, dermatitis, stone formation, rapid aging of the body, tendon and joint diseases, as well as meteosensitivity, mental deterioration, memory loss, migraine, runny nose, mucus filling of maxillary cavities - decrease smelling.

During pregnancy, silicon in large quantities from the woman's body passes into the embryo, and if it is not supplied with food in abundance, the woman begins to have health problems. There is not enough silicon - calcium is not absorbed, teeth are destroyed.

Therefore, pregnant women should consume clay or products and plants containing silicon, for example, decoction or juice of potatoes (not peeled), decoction of oats, horsetail, pine needles, peel of vegetables, fruits, cereals, seeds, bran, sprouts.

A sick mother, and the child will be weak. He will suffer from diseases, allergies, etc.

How to make a child's health "flint"?

I knew a family where children from birth were not sick with anything. What did the parents do for this?

They "fed" the baby with silicon, that is, they wiped the whole body with his own wet diapers. There is always silicon in urine, and in babies it is in its most healing form. Baby powder - talcum is a silicon-containing preparation, mother's milk contains silicon.

A lot of silicon, for example, in the skins of potatoes. Boil the potatoes in their skins. Use the potatoes for food, and wipe the baby's skin with the broth in this way: lower your palms into the broth, then transfer them to the baby's / body. He will like this treatment.

Wash bad hair with flint water, broth, vegetables, oats or oat straw, nettle, horsetail, pine needles, burdock leaves. Snow and rainwater also contain silicon. And do not use soap or shampoo to wash your hair.

A healthy person contains a lot of silicon in the skin. Well, if the skin is pimples, boils on the legs, suppuration between the toes, water blisters, deep cracks, nails decay ... One must think that it is not shoes that are to blame, and the silicon balance is not all right. And best of all, clay foot baths are suitable. If there is no clay, then you should steam oats or needles, insist for 2-3 hours, hold your feet in a basin with this broth.

When you do vegetable juices - put push-ups on foot baths. Wanga argued that drugs through the skin work faster and better than through the stomach.

It is useful to keep diseased feet in the sea sand. You can also do this at home. Buy sea salt at the pharmacy, mix it with sand, dry the mixture, heat it in a basin and bury your feet in it: every grain of sand, every grain of sea salt is also silicon.

Throw a piece of silicon into water, let it stand for 7-10 days and get an elixir of health for yourself, animals, plants and soil. This water does not accumulate in tissues. By eliminating defects in the body, silicon will attract harmful substances to itself and remove them through the intestines and bladder.

If the silicon content in the body is not replenished from food and water, life in it dies out.

Vegetable foods containing silicon

This list is headed by oats, barley, Jerusalem artichoke, followed by hulls of grains, bran, wheat and rice sprouts, tea made from oat straw, whole grains of wheat, rice, millet and corn, red and sugar beets, all types of cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, tops and peel of turnip, radish and radish, pumpkin, salad peppers, green beans, soybeans, beans, spinach, celery, carrots, horseradish, seaweed, potatoes, whole grain bread, strawberries, cherries, apricots, raisins, plums, figs, bananas , dates, apples. All these products contain silicon in their casings, but potato peelings are especially rich in it. This is why you should avoid skinning vegetables whenever possible. The richest vegetable in silicon is Jerusalem artichoke. He is not afraid of frost, drought, or bad soil.

The best sources of silicon are fruits, vegetables, and plants grown in fertile organic-rich soil.

When mineral fertilizers are introduced into the soil and products are processed, the amount of silicon in them decreases.

Silicon is also found in plant foods rich in cellulose: bran, oatmeal, wholemeal bread.

The technology of processing vegetables and fruits is aimed at refining food, getting rid of it from the so-called ballast. In mills, the shell is removed from the grains, and together with it, a large color of silicon, phosphorus, potassium and other elements and vitamins necessary for the body disappear: all this goes to waste. As a result, in stores we buy one starch instead of bread and cereals.

In plants, enzymes have been found that contribute to the conversion of inorganic silicon compounds into organic ones. But these enzymes are destroyed at high temperatures.

With the growth of plants, the silicon content in them increases. Plant leaves contain the most silicon. One leaf of a cereal, for example, contains 14 times more silicon than its root and 10 times more than its stem. The largest amount of silicon is found in the outer parts of the roots and bark of conifers, and the smallest in their wood.

Silicon gives shape and strength to plants and also protects them from molds. In autumn, plants accumulate up to 40% of silica, and by spring, no more than 2% remains.

Silica stimulates the growth and maturation of cereals, potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, sunflowers, sugarcane, beets, herbs and many other plants. Feeding plants with silica improves their growth and increases yields. Silicon is absorbed by plants from the soil along with water, in which silicic acids are always dissolved.

Annual plants return silica to the soil, dying off, and trees and shrubs - shedding their leaves. This means that when some plants wither, the minerals return to the soil and nourish other plants.

Natural silicon preparations are extracted from bamboo or horsetail.

Water and silicon

Water is the only substance on Earth that requires special attention. After oxygen pure water is the most essential element for life.

Today untreated drinking water causes catastrophic harm to health. In the United States and Europe, water filtration has become an integral part of the lives of millions of people.

Having a mesh structure, water is able to receive, accumulate and transmit information. The water we drink today is the same water that our distant ancestors drank.

Infusing water on silicon is one of the oldest methods of water purification. Laying out the wells with flint, our great-grandfathers received not only tasty, spring fresh water, but also protected themselves from infections. Flint, a mineral based on silicon dioxide SiO2, is a unique biocatalyst of redox reactions in our body.

Silicon determines the elasticity and flexibility of the walls of blood vessels, articular cartilage, tendons, heart valves, sphincters of the gastrointestinal tract. Skin, hair, nails, blood vessels, cornea and iris of eyes, adrenal glands, lymph nodes, thyroid gland are especially rich in silicon. Silicon deficiency, which increases with age, leads to the development of "diseases of civilization": atherosclerosis, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, cataracts, polyarthritis, impotence.

Silicon deficiency is encountered not only by the elderly, pregnant and lactating women, but also by people who have undergone severe stress, have increased nervous stress, experience chronic depression, neuroses, lead a sedentary lifestyle, live in unfavorable ecological regions, suffer from constipation, consume unfiltered water ...

Silicon is rightly called the element of youth, since aging is largely due to a decrease in its content in the body. It is silicon that provides us with smooth skin, beautiful teeth and nails, lush hair, healthy blood vessels. With a decrease in silicon in the blood, the elasticity of blood vessels decreases and their ability to respond to commands from the brain to expand or narrow. Silicon is replaced by calcium, which is deposited on the walls of blood vessels in the form of calcium spikes. In the future, cholesterol begins to settle on them. This is how cholesterol plaques are formed, narrowing the lumen of the vessel. Atherosclerosis develops and, as a result, a heart attack or stroke.

An imbalance in silicon affects the immune system: the body's resistance to inflammatory diseases, infections decreases, and most importantly, the risk of neoplasms increases.

A deficiency of silicon in bone tissue leads to osteoporosis, arthrosis, weakness of joints and ligaments, periodontal disease, poor posture, and a tendency to injury.

If there is a lack of silicon compounds in the respiratory organs, then the risk of developing pulmonary tuberculosis increases.

Silicon promotes the biosynthesis of collagen, a protein that forms the basis of connective tissue. It has been proven that with a deficiency of silicon, poor wound healing and fusion of broken bones, dry skin, hair loss and brittleness, stratification and poor growth of nails, inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract are noted.

Decreased silicon levels indicate a tendency to enlarge the thyroid gland (goiter), as well as diabetes, cataracts, kidney stones, and gallbladder

The exchange of silicon in the body is closely related to the exchange of more than 70 micro- and macroelements and vitamins. They cannot be absorbed without the required level of silicon.

People who lack silicon, as a rule, are irritable, it is difficult for them to concentrate, there is an increased sensitivity to noise, often fear of death, a sense of hopelessness, weakness, hormonal disorders.

It is noticed that seedlings watered with flint water grow better, do not get sick with putrefactive fungi, mold, and soaking the seeds increases their germination. Watering vegetable crops with such water increases yields and reduces ripening times. The fact that silica water has a beneficial effect on the aquarium microflora and fauna deserves the attention of aquarists: fish in such water are more vital, microflora in the form of so-called. "black beard" completely dies, the greenery disappears from the walls of the aquarium, the amount of ammonia sharply decreases, it retains its transparency for a long time.

In the household, such water is indispensable for salting vegetables, because does not form mold and makes vegetables crispy. Cut flowers last longer if flint is placed in a vase of water.

Very useful and effective washing with flint water, masks, herbal infusions prepared on its basis. Such water relieves irritation, inflammation, dryness, acne. Silicon water is increasingly being used by beauty salons.

It is good for drinking, has a pleasant spring taste and transparency.

Mode of application: Before the first use, it is enough to rinse the flint with running water and leave for 2-3 days. This is enough to obtain active flint water. 10 g per 1 liter of water - maximum activation; 10 g for 3-5 L of water - moderate activation. Use as needed for drinking, cooking, home canning, beauty treatments, in aquariums. It is advisable to drain the lower layer of water covering the stones. Periodically, stones must be washed with running water to remove impurities that have settled on them. It should be noted that flint in water does not "work" forever, its reserves are not unlimited. Therefore, for a full effect, it is advisable to change the flint every 6-8 months.

Silicon is a vital element that is found in bones, skin, hair, vascular connective tissue, thyroid gland, adrenal glands, cornea and iris. Silicon deficiency in the body, which increases with age, leads to the development of atherosclerosis, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes mellitus, cataracts, impotence, and polyarthritis.

Silicon water acquires the taste and freshness of spring water and has a multifaceted effect on the body:

Promotes rapid healing of wounds, burns;

Normalizes mineral balance and vitamin metabolism.

The content of minerals in plants is higher than in animal organisms. Trace elements in plants are in the most accessible and assimilable form, as well as in a set typical of living nature as a whole.
Vegetarians get more silicon from plant foods and therefore, apparently, their cholesterol content is reduced.
Plants of some families (horsetails, borage and cereals) have the ability to extract silicon from the soil solution in the form of silicic acid or silica, depositing them in cell membranes. Silicon permeates the walls of the epidermis and blood vessels, strengthening plant tissues, reducing water loss and slowing down the development of fungal infections. The amount of absorbed silicon is usually directly proportional to its concentration in solution and the transfer rate.

Silicon is a common plant component, but its concentration can vary. Some plants can accumulate large reserves of silicon, for example, sedge, algae, nettle, horsetail. There is a lot of silicon in rice husks (up to 10% of dry weight). Some plants have been reported to limit their silicon intake, such as clover. It is assumed that silicon contributes to an increase in the supply of energy for metabolic processes, which is expressed in an intensive growth. Dissolved silicon stimulates plant growth. Silicon deficiency negatively affects their reproductive development when grown on nutrient solutions. The biochemical role of silicon has not yet been clarified.
Silicic acid is an essential part of the human body: connective tissues, skin, stripes and nails. With the help of herbs containing silicic acid, it is possible to improve the condition of these organs. Herbs are taken internally in the form of tea, externally in the form of gargles (for the mouth and throat), as well as baths and compresses.
The record holders for silicon content are the most ancient plants: horsetails, mosses, ferns. The alpine horsetail contains 96% silicic acid, its large variety contains about 40% silica, and the small one, which is often found in potato fields, only 16%. The dry matter of field horsetail contains 9% of silica, especially a lot in the period from mid-July to the end of August: 49 -76%, although only 1-1.5% in dissolved form. Horsetail ash contains up to 84% silica. In addition, there is a lot of manganese in it.
Silicon content in some plant forms (in mg per 30 g of herb):
Silicon contains: algae, some trees (spruce, larch, palm); herbs (bamboo, sedge, horsetail,
fern, nettle, burdock, comfrey, lungwort, red clover, licorice, marshmallow, verbena, heather, knotweed, aloe, primrose, oat straw, sunflower, yarrow, wheatgrass, celery, wormwood, pickle grass, feather grass, coltsfoot, dandelion, alfalfa, stellate); cereals (oats, barley, millet).
Silicon is found in many other plants, but in smaller quantities. Among the plants rich in silicon, besides horsetail, the following are especially interesting:

Burdock (burdock). Its root is rich in vitamins of group B, E, P, magnesium, phosphorus, silicon zinc, sodium, potassium, it contains inulin - a substance that regulates blood sugar. In diabetic patients who use burdock root, the need for insulin gradually decreases. The root extract of the plant has an anti-tumor effect. Japanese scientists have found that one of the elements of burdock root slows down cell mutation.
Burdock root tea: pour 2 teaspoons of finely chopped raw materials with 0.5 liters of cold water, after 5 hours quickly heat to a boil, boil for a minute and strain. Drink it 3 times a day for a cup. This tea is especially useful for liver and gall bladder diseases.

Horse sorrel. Its seeds contain vitamins A, B, C, D, E, K, P, as well as calcium, iron, magnesium, silicon, sodium, etc., leaves and stems - carotene and chlorophyll, which is similar to blood hemoglobin - it fills every cell the plant organism with oxygen. Horse sorrel promotes resorption of tumors, relieves inflammation of the pancreas, cleanses the walls of blood vessels, increases the body's resistance to the effects of carcinogenic substances and strengthens the immune system. Japanese scientists have found that it prevents cell destruction.

Nettle. There is a lot of silicon in the thorns of this plant, therefore, folk medicine advises to flog patients with paralysis with nettles, if you have “blown” in the neck or lower back, and your hand does not rise from sciatica. During this procedure, a burning sensation is felt only in the first day or two. For the treatment of infectious diseases (measles, scarlet fever), the leaves of the plant must be thoroughly grinded and compresses should be made with this gruel anywhere, preferably on the stomach or throat.

Lungwort. The plant contains iodine, silicon, manganese, rutin, carotene, thyroid hormone; normalizes the functions of the endocrine glands, improves immunity, heart and lung function. Treatment with lungwort is carried out as follows: pour 2 tablespoons of dry raw materials with a glass of boiling water, boil for 10 minutes, take half a glass 3-4 times a day before meals.

Shepherd's bag. Exceptionally saturated with minerals, soda, iron, phosphorus, silica, potassium, zinc, it is an excellent remedy for sclerosis, kidney stones, various bleeding.

Sage. Pour a teaspoon of raw materials with 0.5 liters of boiling water. After 3 minutes, the essential oils found in sage are decomposed, and at this moment vital elements necessary for the spinal cord and intervertebral cartilage pass into the solution. Therefore, it is advisable to drink sage all your life. It is useful for the paralyzed to drink a thick broth of sage several times a day.

Knotweed. A plant that is indispensable in the treatment of various inflammations of internal organs (stomach, liver, kidneys, bladder) and diseases (diarrhea, stones in the gallbladder, kidneys, bladder). It was noticed that during the treatment with knotweed, several grains of sand came out almost imperceptibly for the patient with each urination. A decoction of the herb is drunk as tea for nervous exhaustion, general weakness, which is useful for old people.
Silicon-containing plants include many cultivated plants, and in plants rich in fiber, silicon is more.

Among monocotyledonous plants, there are many aquatic (hydrophytes) and moisture-loving plants. These plants grow in an environment rich in highly absorbable silicon, and therefore easily concentrate it in their tissues. The record holders for silicon content among terrestrial plants are the oldest of them - spore horsetails, mosses and plantains. So, in the dry matter of field horsetail contains 9% of silica, and in ash - up to 96%. Up to 10% of silicon is contained in rice husks and 8% in Jerusalem artichoke. For comparison: according to some sources, the dry mass of grass contains 0.3-1.2% silicon (0.04-0.13 in clover and 0.1-0.2 in alfalfa). By the way, rice, which is the staple food of many peoples of Asia, is of particular interest as a silica plant. The largest amount of silicon is found in plants (and their feed) growing in steppe, semi-desert, desert and mountain regions, that is, in the least favorable conditions of existence. Despite the fact that its content in groundwater is very low (20-50 mg / l), it is absorbed by plants in significant quantities. So, for a year from 1 hectare, grains extract 105-120 kg of silicon dioxide, beech - 63 kg, spruce - 54, clover - 20, vegetables - 10, potatoes - 8 kg. Silicon dioxide is more than half mineral substances, which grains are assimilated from the soil. Scientists have found that silicon is an integral part of all plants, and its content in their live weight averages 0.02-0.15%, and in hay 0.1-3%. It is also found in cellulose-rich plant foods, bran, oatmeal and wholemeal breads. A lot of silicon contains: oats, millet, wheat (whole grains), wheat bran, wheat germ, husked rice, rice, barley, bran, sprouted cereal seeds, apricots, bananas, brown algae, turnip tops, beet tops, cherries, leaf mustard , raisins, figs (dried), white cabbage and cauliflower, garden and forest strawberries, kohlrabi, corn, onions, alfalfa, marjoram, carrots, cucumbers, dandelion, parsnips, lettuce, beets, celery, sunflower seeds, plums, tomatoes ripe, pumpkin, beans, dates, horseradish, spinach, apples. Under the influence of silicon dioxide, the absorption of potassium, magnesium, and sometimes calcium by plants increases (usually, the absorption of the latter with an excess of silicon in the nutrient medium slows down). Increasing the proportion of silica in plant nutrition can eliminate the toxic effects of iron, manganese, copper, arsenic, aluminum, strontium-90 and phenols. On the contrary, with a lack of silicon, the accumulation of iron and manganese in plants increases sharply.

Products concentrating silicon are horsetail, Jerusalem artichoke, radish, etc. Therefore, plant food is an inexhaustible source of silicon, rich in fiber... IN traditional medicine for the treatment of diseases associated with a lack of silicon (and also as a diuretic), decoctions and liquid extracts from "silicon" wild plants are used.

Horsetail

The undisputed leader among them is the field horsetail. Given the high silicon content in the horsetail, it can be used to make tea and juice. Especially useful is its juice, which is prepared from plants harvested early in the morning before the dew dries. Fresh horsetail juice is recommended for the treatment of atherosclerosis of the vessels of the brain and heart. Silicon contained in horsetail juice together with vitamin C, increases the body's immunity, allowing you to actively resist the causative agent of tuberculosis and a number of other diseases. Preparations obtained from horsetail and other plants concentrating silicon have entered pharmaceutical practice and are used to treat diseases of the upper respiratory tract, inflammation of the gums and skin, as well as diuretics. For example, 50% horsetail extract is used to prevent the formation and resorption of scars on the skin. It is believed that the therapeutic effect of these drugs is mainly due to the content in them of a large amount of biologically active organic compounds. It is no less likely that silicon compounds, which are most likely also organic in nature, play an important role in these preparations. Unlike inorganic ones, they are absorbed by the human body much easier. Because of its irritating effect, horsetail preparations cannot be used by people suffering from kidney diseases - nephritis and nephrosis in severe forms.

Dandelion

Drinks are made from its inflorescences, ranging from delicious syrup to wine, dandelion petals are used to color dough and other dishes instead of saffron. Although for these purposes the petals of marigolds and marigolds are often dried, but, undoubtedly, dandelion is the most affordable raw material. When boiling thick syrup, you get the so-called dandelion honey or dandelion jam. A properly prepared jam really tastes little different from natural honey... This "honey" improves metabolism. In Czechoslovakia, it is prepared as a drink. Czech women and Slovaks really believe in him medicinal properties... They claim that dandelion honey rejuvenates, cleanses the blood, gives milky white skin with a blush and treats various diseases. Dandelions can be used in spring or already in September, after summer hibernation. This time they dig up the roots. Dandelion roots can simply be fried like potatoes. When heated, the bitterness disappears, the roots become sweetish. If, however, roasted without oil, the roots are slightly overcooked until brown, you get a good and nutritious coffee substitute. It's even better than chicory. The classic historical recipe for dandelion salad is Goethe's salad. The mother of the great German poet prepared this salad for him every day in the spring. Wolfgang Amadeus Goethe believed that it was to this recipe that he owed his "youth" and efficiency up to 84 years.

Radish

Contains 6.5% silicon in dry matter. Radish salads with sour cream, vegetable oil have a moderate choleretic, decongestant properties, promote better peristalsis and bowel emptying. Unlike tubers and root crops, radish does not inhibit pepsin activity. For dietary purposes, if there are no contraindications from the gastrointestinal tract, it is better to use wiped.

Boiled grated beets

This is one of the most effective means of improving the intestines, which also contributes to its rhythmic emptying. Beetroot dishes have a moderate dehydration effect and help to actively contract the biliary tract. To some extent, they have a calming effect on the nervous system, maintain the proper tone of the blood vessels. And not only because of this, mashed boiled beets with vegetable oil or sour cream are an excellent snack before lunch. The intrinsic choleretic properties of beets are significantly increased. The tops of young beets contain a lot of provitamin A, vitamins C and group B, as well as macro-, micro-, ultramicroelements, in particular silicon, and free organic acids. Therefore, cold soup made from young beets with tops (botvinia) is not only a delicious refreshing, but also healthy dish in every respect. Table beets are also favorably distinguished by the fact that, when properly stored, they do not lose their nutritional and dietary advantages for a long time. And so that it remains juicy and loses less water-soluble vitamins and other valuable substances, before cooking in water or over steam, it is not recommended to cut the roots of the beet root and remove the skin, but you should always wash it thoroughly. It is boiled in sweetened boiling water (1/4 teaspoon of sugar per liter of water). Following these simple rules eliminates large discoloration of the beets. Diet dishes are also considered a salad of boiled beets with horseradish; boiled chopped or mashed beets with boiled rice, boiled egg, raisins; boiled beets, grated or chopped, with grated raw apples or carrots, white cabbage, prunes, black currant juice, lemon, with nuts and grated cheese.

Nettle

Pour boiling water over the leaves of young nettle and let it brew for a while. The resulting broth can be drunk, and the nettle leaves can be chopped and added to the salad. When preparing dishes from nettle, one must not forget that vitamin K is not useful for everyone.Frequent consumption of summer nettle in food causes an increase in blood clotting, therefore, in old age, as well as those suffering from thrombophlebitis and varicose veins, it is better not to abuse nettle. Young nettles, especially spring nettles, do not have this effect. A lot of silicon is found in pikulnik, knotweed, wheatgrass, coltsfoot, dandelion. It is recommended to cook 50 g of horsetail, pickleberry and nettle and 100 g of poultry knotweed. Pour a spoonful of this mixture with two cups of water and simmer over low heat until half the contents of the saucepan have boiled away. Silica is poorly soluble, so the herbs must be heated for a long time over low heat so that they are well brewed. Drink the infusion twice a day for half a glass.

There are also recipes for using silicon dioxide externally.

Mother-and-stepmother, highlander bird, wheatgrass, horsetail, pickle mix in equal quantities, then pour 2-3 tablespoons of this mixture with two glasses of water, boil for 15 minutes, add two tablespoons of vinegar, which preserves the liquid so that it does not cloud ( this is a sign that the solution is tainted). In the evening, wash your face with water, then with herbal infusion, and 2-3 times a week you need to wipe the whole body with it. The result of the application will be obvious. The skin will look younger. There are recipes for using silica to treat cataracts. You can put a donut made of clay mixed with milk with cucumbers, dandelion leaves on the eyes (eyelids), on the forehead, above the eyes, on the area behind the ears. In many cases, acne, which has been treated in various ways for 8-10 years without a positive result, healed within a few weeks by ingestion of silica. In the practice of dentists, silica has helped to heal ulcerative inflammation of the gums. Inflammation of the gums was removed by him in 4-5 days. A handful of horsetail is boiled in 1 glass of water for 30 minutes. This broth is drunk as tea, the hair is rinsed with it after washing to strengthen it, and for old people they make applications from a hot mixture on clay to hands, feet and neck, if the pain does not allow them to sleep or they go numb (Miroshnikova and Miroshnikov).

Flint water

There is an inverse relationship between the concentration of silicon in drinking water and the prevalence of cardiovascular diseases. The aqueous solutions that form around the flint have a beneficial effect on our body. In silicon water, a structural water system is formed with a lattice of liquid silicon crystals so that there is no place for pathogenic microorganisms and foreign chemical elements in it. These foreign impurities are displaced from the water and precipitated. Therefore, when you insist on flint water, you should not use the bottom layer - up to 3-4 cm of flint. It's better to drain it. Silicon water sustains life, it combines the taste and freshness of spring water, the purity and structure of melt water and the bactericidal properties of silver water. It is no coincidence that there is a tradition to lay out the bottom of wells with flint. Today, many people use silicon water to get rid of hypertension, trophic ulcers, burns, urolithiasis, inflammatory processes genitourinary and gastrointestinal systems, anemia, dysbiosis, boils, food poisoning, etc. When using water infused with flint, the coccal flora in the affected tissues decreases, and wounds heal quickly. As experience shows, people taking activated silicon water practically do not have malignant neoplasms, weakened immunity is restored, the content of cholesterol in the blood decreases, which is especially important in obesity. Silicon water acts as a prophylactic agent against atherosclerosis, prevents wrinkles, promotes hair growth, strengthens blood vessels, mucous membranes and gums, prevents impotence and infertility, enhances the hemostatic properties of plasma, blood clotting. The strength of construction cement mixed with silica water is increased by 20 percent. She is recommended to water the plants to stimulate their growth and resist pests and diseases. Silicon water is also used for salting vegetables. To do this, just put a piece of flint (1 square centimeter) in a three-liter container. Safety is guaranteed. It is useful to cook teas, compotes, soups in flint water. It has no contraindications, but it is strictly forbidden to boil water with a flint stone in it - when boiling, flint significantly increases the bioactivity of water. To prepare flint water, you need to place a piece of flint in a container of plain water at the rate of 1 cubic meter. cm in 1 liter of water and leave for seven days. After that, the water does not deteriorate for decades. The duration of the flint itself is not limited. They contain a lot of silicon and some mineral water, for example Borjomi. The reasons for the therapeutic effect of flint water are largely unclear. All data on its healing properties are obtained exclusively by experience. Flint is a mineral formation consisting of quartz and chalcedony, the base of which is silicon dioxide (or silica). It is believed that the presence of fossilized organic matter in silicon makes it a phenomenal biocatalyst capable of accelerating redox reactions in water thousands of times, giving it healing properties... Flint, combining with water, suppresses the bacteria of putrefaction and fermentation, removes the dead pathogenic microflora and hazardous compounds of metals dissolved in water: zinc, lead, cadmium, iron. It is noteworthy that water taken from almost any source becomes drinkable after three days of interaction with silicon.

Conclusion: It's about silicon, but not just silicon

Thus, silicon concentrating plants and silicon water can make up for the lack of silicon in your body and help eliminate various toxicants from the body. However, the most optimal is a combination of a food diet and micronutrient preparations. The balance of the content of various elements in the composition of our body can be of paramount importance when certain diseases appear. Therefore, it is so necessary to take into account the recommendations for the use of these elements.
  1. With weakness of joints and ligaments, as well as poor posture and spine, attention should be paid to the introduction of elements such as copper, silicon, manganese into food.
  2. With a decrease in bone density and bone fragility, manganese, calcium, magnesium, silicon, copper are needed.
  3. For hair loss, zinc, selenium, silicon are needed.
  4. With poor hair and nail growth, zinc, selenium, silicon, magnesium are required.
  5. In case of inflammation and irritation of the skin, zinc, selenium, silicon should be introduced with products.
  6. With brittle nails, problems arise with silicon, selenium.
  7. To restore disturbed lactation, the body must be provided with magnesium, calcium, zinc, copper, silicon.

Silicon has a surprisingly large number of functions in plant life, and is especially important under stressful conditions. The role of silicon can be compared with the role of secondary organic metabolites, which perform protective functions in plants. Seeing all the variety of roles that silicon plays in plants against various stresses, today world scientists admit that they are still far from developing a "unified theory" of silicon in biology and agriculture.

Functions of silicon in a plant

Silicon has a significant effect on plant growth and development, increases productivity and improves product quality. At the same time, the positive effect of silicon is especially noticeable in plants under stressful conditions. Silicon gives plants mechanical strength, strengthens the cell walls, ensuring the rigidity of various plant organs.

Silicon in optimal doses promotes better metabolism of nitrogen and phosphorus in tissues, increases the consumption of boron and a number of other elements; provides a reduction in the toxicity of excess amounts of heavy metals. Optimization of plant silicon nutrition results in an increase in leaf area. In such conditions, more durable cell walls are formed in plants, as a result of which the danger of lodging crops, as well as damage to them by diseases and pests, decreases.

One of the important functions of active forms of silicon is to stimulate the development of the root system. Studies on cereals, citrus fruits, vegetables and fodder grasses have shown that when the silicon nutrition of plants is improved, the number of secondary and tertiary roots increases by 20–100% or more. The deficiency of silicon nutrition is one of the limiting factors in the development of the root system of plants. It was found that the optimization of silicon nutrition increases the efficiency of photosynthesis and the activity of the root system.

Item Features

It is necessary to highlight some regularities that distinguish silicon from a number of other elements in the life of plants.

The first thing to note is that almost all plants (with rare exceptions) can be grown without silicon in a nutrient medium. Even siliceous plants like rice and wheat.

Another feature is that silicon accumulates in plants in large amounts, which often exceed the absorption of the main macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium). The range of silicon concentrations in plants is much wider than that of other nutrients. So, the silicon content ranges from 0.1-10% of dry weight, while, for example, for nitrogen this range is 0.5-6%, for potassium: 0.8-8%, phosphorus: 0, 15-0.5%. That is, the spread of silicon concentration is an order of magnitude larger than that of other elements.

It is very important to note that when grown under artificial favorable conditions, plants practically do not need silicon.

There are three groups of plants according to the silicon content in dry matter:

  • silicon content more than 5% (rice, reed, etc.);
  • silicon content more than 1% (barley, rye, etc.);
  • the silicon content is less than 1% (for example, dicotyledonous - cucumber, sunflower, etc.).

Form of silicon in plant tissues

In plant tissues, silicon is in the form of water-soluble compounds such as orthosilicic acid (H 4 SiO 4), orthosilicon esters, as well as in the form of insoluble mineral polymers and crystalline impurities. As part of the organic matter of plant tissues, Si forms orthosilicon esters of hydroxyamino acids, hydroxycarboxylic acids, polyphenols, carbohydrates, sterols, as well as derivatives of amino acids, amino sugars and peptides. The most important soluble forms of silicon in plants and the soil-plant system are monosilicic and polysilicic acids. These inorganic compounds are always present in natural aqueous solutions. Moreover, there is a close relationship between them.
