Why can amylase in the blood be increased and how can it be reduced? Amylase is elevated: see, the reasons for the rate of display of Amylase increase in amylase, what to talk about

The human body is a complete and well-functioning system, which results in one organ most often experiencing malfunctions in the functioning of its storage parts. Since poisoning is one of the main processes that ensure the survival of people, the correct operation of such important parts is the basis of normal life. This organ quickly reacts to any process that is unsafe for the new process, releasing a special substance – amylase – into the blood.

Description of the significance of the pancreatic amylase enzyme

Causes and signs of exhilaration

There are many situations in which pancreatic amylase is elevated in different countries.

Most often this means the presence of such problems:

  • Hostria pancreatitis. This is the most widespread reason for the sharp increase in the level of amylase in the blood. If your performance is high, please register at once. It is possible to “catch” illness on the cob itself. Then, as the acute process progresses, rhubarb amylase can begin to decrease through the dying plots of the subsoil vine, which produces this enzyme.
  • Chronic form of pancreatitis. In this case, as in the acute stage, there is also often an initial increase in the level of amylase with further decreases, which leads to the death of the subcutaneous cells through progressive illness.
  • Oncological diseases of the sublingual phallus (cancer and/or metastases).
  • Trauma to an organ as a result of a blow or accident.
  • Obstruction of the pancreatic duct.
  • Cyst of the subslit.
  • Mumps (mumps).
  • Nirkova lack of availability.
  • Decompensations.
  • Peritonitis.
  • Ignition processes in the ruminant furnace.
  • Conducted virazki shlunka.
  • Intestinal obstruction.
  • Carrying out aortic aneurysms.
  • Macroamylasemia is the process of amylase combining with blood serum proteins, as a result of which it is not treated directly and accumulates in a large amount of blood.
  • Alcoholism.

The main signs of an increase in amylase are processes associated with inflamed epigastric glands: pain in the left hypochondrium and epigastric region, impaired swelling, boredom, vomiting, diarrhea, congestion. nya, irritation to odors, especially oily skins, possible skin sagging, increased zone the undercoat.

Likuvannya and proper food

Whether the symptoms of the subcutaneous pharynx develop into serious or serious pathologies, their treatment can only be done by a doctor at specialized clinics.

It is possible to determine the necessary investigations and based on the results of the analysis, it is possible to determine the severity and prescribe the necessary medications, indicating the need for treatment.

In the minds of the home, the following are of less importance for a sick person:

  • It is necessary to immediately exclude from the menu lubricants, fatty and hot herbs, smoked meats, red meat, sauerkraut, rich soups and broths, fatty and hot sauces, spices and seasonings.
  • Not allowed: alcoholic beverages, tea, black kava and tea, artificial drinks and highly carbonated water.
  • The sick person needs to be provided with a calm and proper dietary meal at short intervals and in sized portions.

In case of an infection of the subcutaneous phallus, self-indulgence in the area of treatment can lead to extremely poor health, since this organ is very sensitive and can react negatively to improper treatment. It is necessary to accurately follow the doctor's instructions and carefully follow his recommendations.

Possibly complicated

As pancreatic amylase is elevated, it is an indicator of the dysfunction of the subglottic gland and, as a result, prompt and well-selected treatment can lead to the development of onset diseases and conditions:

  • In women, pancreatitis is often accompanied by damage to the cervix and the development of ruminant disease.
  • Progressive illness results in impaired speech metabolism and development, lack of vitamins, which is manifested by low body weight, dry skin, brittle nails and hair.
  • Problems in this organ lead to the development of diabetes.
  • Through poor etching, the hedgehog is badly poisoned and does not digest, which can cause severe flatulence, intestinal pain, diarrhea and frequent trips to the toilet.

Such serious problems make it important to pay more attention to your health, and if illness is detected as a result of the test, immediately begin the need for treatment and switch to a strict diet.

More information about pancreatitis can be found in the video.

If amylase in the blood is elevated, additional measures are required to identify the causes of illness. Amylase is the main enzyme that takes its part in etching. This concentration is increased to indicate the development of a pathological condition that will require obligatory treatment.

Amylase takes part in the process of processing carbohydrates present in food products, breaking them down into simple products. The main plant that produces this enzyme is the subcutaneous plant. A small number of sunny vines are shaking.

By infusing this enzyme into the sclero-intestinal canal, the breakdown of starch and glycogen, which is in the urine, occurs. The glucose that has been released as a result of the reaction begins to absorb in the lower intestines. Also, amylase is immediately lost from the breakdown of carbohydrates into the circulatory system, and the signs are removed by nitric acid.

Alpha amylase occurs in two species. This is S-type and P-type. In the blood there are approximately 65% of the P-type enzyme (diastase), in the blood - about 60% of the S-type. Laboratory investigation allows us to establish them instead of blood samples. The most important indicator is the work of the subslot. High volume is an alarming symptom that indicates possible disease of the scolio-intestinal tract.

Research and standard values

The blood enzyme test is indicated in addition to primary laboratory testing of biomaterial. To obtain the most accurate results, it is recommended to carry out a follow-up study on the hungry boat. It is strictly forbidden to analyze the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

The normal value for this indicator is between 25-125 Od/l. There is no regulatory significance behind the article, since for elderly people it is typical to move a little instead of amylase. Under normal conditions, pancreatic amylase is absorbed at 55 Od/l. Ideally, if the indicator values approach zero.

The values of the indicators within the normal range indicate the health of the subcutaneous plant, its full functioning, and the absence of ignition and stagnant processes in it.

An analysis for the level of alpha-amylase is prescribed in case of suspicion of acute inflammation, acute illness of the intestinal tract or in case of pain at the end of an unknown journey.

Reasons for increased concentration

Based on the concentration of this enzyme, the following is added:

  • P-type pancreatic amylase;
  • pine vine, which vibrates the S-type enzyme;
  • burning mill of etching organs.

Reasons for high concentration:

  1. Hostria pancreatitis. When the subglottis is inflamed, pancreatic secretion stagnates in its ducts, resulting in a significant increase in amylase production. The increased penetration of the vessel walls allows this enzyme to be absorbed into the blood of great victims. Acute pancreatitis is characterized by a level of amylase that exceeds the norm in 7-8 times. It returns to normal levels 3-4 days after the attack.
  2. Development of chronic pancreatitis. Chronic inflammation of the subglottic gland is accompanied by a persistent increase in amylase in the blood by small amounts.
  3. Mumps (burnt lints). More sick children are sick. The development of illness in a child is accompanied by increased secretion of the S-type enzyme.
  4. Development of sugar diabetes. A lack of insulin in a sick person results in a disruption of metabolic processes. Disturbance in the process of breakdown of carbohydrates causes abnormal secretion of a large number of enzymes. Blood diabetes and many endocrine diseases are caused by a consistently high level of alpha-amylase in the patient’s body.
  5. Elevations of amylase in the blood occur after peritonitis. Fiery processes in the intestines provoke an increased secretion of more enzymes, which take their part in the poisoning.
  6. New creation at the subslunt vine. The development of benign and malignant swellings in this organ of the endocrine system changes the concentration of the enzyme.
  7. Sickness of the organs of the thyroid system can reduce the fluidity of blood purification of amylase and its elimination. There is a stable increase in the concentration of the enzyme.
  8. Amylase is often released through natural intoxication in the body. What does this mean? Medicines and alcoholic beverages provoke a strong, or short-term, reaction instead of enzymes.
  9. The development of post-uterine vaginosis (attachment of the fertilized egg above the empty uterus and fallopian tubes) infuses a mixture of hormones and all enzymes.

What do you need to do to improve your health compared to the norm?

A high concentration of this enzyme indicates the presence of pathological processes in the body. In such a case, without additional strapping, it is impossible to establish the causes of the disease as normal. Many acute illnesses (acute pancreatitis, inflammation, new growth in the subslantum), which cause changes in amylase in the blood, will require urgent attention from doctors. However, pathologies that are caused by minor changes in the enzyme require qualified medical assistance and can be treated in the minds of a home hospitalist.

If amylase is elevated, then the main method is treatment and the addition of a special diet, which will help change the emphasis on the herbal system. Please be advised to avoid fatty, greased, meat and seasonings.

Every time during the bathing hour you can’t drink alcohol, smoke, drink meat tea or kava.

Any treatment should only be carried out under the supervision of a qualified specialist.

Amylase is one of the essential enzymes in the human body. This works in the herbal system and ensures the processing of carbohydrates. With the help of amylase, starch is broken down into polysaccharides.

The enzyme vibrates in the subslutous area. Therefore, changes in amylase in the blood can signal disease processes that arise in this organ. Prompt detection of pathology will help to immediately carry out therapy and successfully recover from the disease.

Amylase is reduced: possible reasons

Exceeding the amylase norm by a small amount can be of a temporary nature and in no way be expected on its own.

If the rhubarb enzyme grows twice or more, then disease processes will undoubtedly occur in the body. Stinks signal themselves with the following symptoms:

  • pain on the right side of the abdomen, especially after the stomach;
  • emptying: mainly diarrhea;
  • the underworld is unhealthy and sloppy.

A large amount of amylase comes out through the powerful workings of the subslot. Over there you can see an enzyme that is instantly available in the bloodstream. This is possible, because:

  • There is a superabsorption of pancreatic juice - herbal radish, which appears as a vine right next to the twelve-toed gut.
  • They appear to be crossing ducts.
  • There are obvious ignition processes in the subslant cavity or in the vascular organs. The result may be tissue destruction, necrotic or traumatic.

Similar to how the body develops such pathologies:

  • Hostria pancreatitis- ignition processes that rapidly develop in the tissues of the subslut vine. The organ is supplied with moisture-rich enzymes. The stench, to a significant extent, drains the bloodstream and creates real dangers for life. The illness can develop into pancreatic necrosis - a serious condition that is accompanied by the death of parts of the subglottic gland or organ, the development of infection and peritonitis (inflammation of the liver).

Adults suffer from illness, especially those who drink alcoholic drinks. Rhubarb amylase increases in all ages. Mortality, regardless of current treatment methods, is high – from seven to fifteen hundred.

  • Chronic pancreatitis- Continuous disruption of the activity of the subsoil vine. This dysfunction leads to an increase in amylase - from three times to five times.
  • New creation at any place of the subslut vine.. Cancer can immediately cover the head of the organ. The concentration of amylase in the blood increases fourfold.
  • Zhovchnokam'yana khvoroba- illumination in the ruminant furnace and the ducts of stones (concretions).
  • Blood diabetes- Illness, which leads to systemic disruption of speech exchange. Carbohydrate metabolism is not to blame. There may be problems with the used amylase. It is irrational to be victorious that it increases in blood.
  • Peritonitis- Burning of the sheets of chereverin, which weakens the body in a very important way. The subhyal gland is susceptible to irritation, which promotes the activity of the cells and the production of amylase.
  • Mumps- a child's illness, known as a pig (wushnitsa). I'm sick, my paramyxovirus screams. Mumps is characterized by inflammation of the sinuses, which is affected by the secretion of amylase. The process of production of the enzyme is activated and returns to normal only after watering.
  • Nirkova lack of availability- Painful condition. The stench cannot be immediately eliminated and the slaughter can be seen. Dysfunction can lead to the blocking of amylase in the body, and in the blood itself.

Video recipe from nagodi:

Enzyme overload of norms can be attributed to the following:

  • post-uterine vagusity;
  • macroamylasemia;
  • injuries to the abdominal area;
  • intestinal obstruction;
  • herpes virus type 4;
  • folding after empty operation.

Eating and eating alcoholic drinks will also significantly increase the level of amylase. Instead of the enzyme, it is necessary to take various medications, sechoginal contraceptives and oral contraceptives.

Others may exhibit certain genetic factors that prevent amylase from entering the bloodstream and reduce its accumulation in the blood.

Bring back the stress of the middle level, mix all metabolic processes in the body and promote the growth of the enzyme.

Amylase in the blood is elevated: what to do?

There is not enough data on excess amylase levels to correctly diagnose the disease and recognize treatment. It is necessary to carry out additional tests in order to prescribe a medicine. Having obtained the results of several tests and identified the symptoms, it is necessary to decide on therapy carefully depending on the illness and its severity.

Illness that occurs in the acute form will require immediate medical treatment and further inpatient treatment.

Amylase fragments are a herbal enzyme, it is impossible to regulate them in the blood without a hyoid diet. Using the right products will ensure a decrease in the pressure on the organs of the shkt.

The main benefits for children are:

  • Vidmova like lubricated, spicy, fatty and smoked herbs.
  • Drinking drinks, drinking alcohol.
  • I need to cook on a steamer and in the oven.
  • The portions are small, and the number of meals can be about five.
  • Bazhano switch to food not less than shotgun, but okreme. And here I feel like I’m going to enjoy myself a lot. If food is thus saved from the future, then the prevalence of illness, which is accompanied by the growth of amylase, will occur in a number of times.

Pregnancy and the use of medications normalize the body’s stress levels, including the enzyme.

A slight increase in amylase is acceptable for the mind, which itself seems to be deprived of normality. Since rhubarb to the enzyme exceeds the norm by one, there is no indication of pathology.
Those that are undergoing disease processes in the body are signaled by amylase levels that exceed the optimal level two or more times.

With great confidence, it can be assumed that the cause of the trace is the middle of the disease of the subcutaneous phallus. But only a doctor can confirm or simply guess.

The human body functions uninterruptedly despite any problems. Damage to the functioning of one organ negatively affects the functioning of others.

The grass system is one of the main ones in the body, and its essential part is the subcutaneous plant. It itself immediately reacts to pathological changes, eliminating amylase from the blood. About staying and staying further.

What is an enzyme and why is it needed?

Amylase is a herbal enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates. However, for a clear understanding of this function, it is necessary that it be within the range of normal indicators.

Amylase begins to circulate when products such as starch enter the body. These are potatoes, rice, bakery products, etc. Seen alpha, beta and gamma tips.

To determine the level of amylase, samples and blood are monitored; to exclude poisons, analyzes are performed in one day.

It’s time to take shelter early and quickly. In the case of an animal, medical tests are carried out at any time, otherwise in such cases it is necessary to take care of the hour before receiving the patient.

Standards for adults and children

It is seen that there is a high level of alpha-amylase, the stench lingers in the presence of people. These indicators are based on the performance of the pickling system. The following displays are considered normal:

  • In children up to 2 years of age – 5 – 65 Od/l.
  • From 2 to 70 years – 25 – 125 Od/l.
  • After 70 – 20 – 160 Od/l.

Men and women have the same norms. Slightly elevated amylase in the blood does not increase in patients with severe pain. However, if there is improvement above the norm, twice or more, it does not indicate serious damage to the body.

A person who suffers from movement often presents with abdominal pain, so to explain the cause and make a diagnosis, the doctor uses several diagnostic methods, including testing for alpha-amylase.

Reasons for high performance

Insignificant increase in the indicator at a few points, most often the urgent manifestation and the patient’s vital stage do not resist, but go away on their own.

Regular amylase in the blood begins to move through the strengthened work of the subduct. The enzyme quickly disappears from the roof.

This may happen due to the following reasons:

  • A large quantity of herbal radish is being produced, as it is thrown out of the twelve-toed gut.
  • The faults arise, which do not allow them to move through the ducts normally.
  • Overcoming ignition reactions in the sub-slot and adjacent systems. Over the course of the year, tissue ruination, which may have a necrotic character, can be avoided.

This is determined through such factors as:

  • Acute pancreatitis is inflammation of the sublingual pharynx. Most often it is diagnosed in adults. Beware of damage to the organ by moisture enzymes, which are consumed in large numbers and become unsafe for people’s lives. The pathology can turn into pancreatic necrosis - the disappearance of the subglottic gland (externally or locally), which is accompanied by the formation of an infectious process in the gallbladder and an ignition process in the cervix. This is due to alcoholism in patients, in which amylase is 8 times higher than normal. The mortality rate is approximately 10 – 15%.
  • Chronic pancreatitis – impaired functionality of the subslit. The transition may occur 3-5 times.
  • Cancer swellings, and the head of the vine is most often affected. The replacement of the enzyme exceeds the norm four times.
  • The presence of stones in the ducts and ducts. Blockage of the pancreatic duct with a stone, metastasis or swelling.
  • Peritonitis is inflammation of the parietal and visceral layers of the liver, which is accompanied by an important damage to the body. A high level of rhubarb amylase escapes through the plant varieties, which begin to actively cultivate.
  • Nirk deficiency – impaired functioning of the nirk. When vibrations and excretion occur, enzymes become trapped in the body.
  • Diabetes of the blood – impaired metabolism of speech. The amylase level increases, and the amount of blood in the veins is not used correctly.
  • Mumps (mumps) is a viral illness that is characterized by fever, intoxication of the body, and the development of sialadenitis (inflammation of old gums). It attacks the mucous tissue of other organs and the central nervous system. Rhubarb normalizes after getting dressed.
  • Ovarian cancer in women.
  • Virazkov's disease shlunka.

High amylase can be blamed for the following reasons:

  • Abdominal injuries.
  • Intestinal obstruction.
  • Herpes virus.
  • Intestinal ischemia.
  • Hostria appendicitis.
  • Pozamatkova vaginism.
  • Aortic aneurysm rupture.
  • Postoperative folding.
  • Macroamylase is a disease characterized by the presence of macroamylase in the blood.
  • Genetic variation - decreased penetration of amylase in the breed.
  • Stressful situations.

Improper eating and drinking alcohol will also increase the concentration of amylase. This can include uncontrolled use of certain medications.

Symptoms

Excessive levels of the enzyme are diagnosed in cases of illness in the substellar gland and other internal organs that require therapy. I will begin to monitor the symptoms:

  • Subcostal pain in the abdominal region on the right. The symptom gets worse after driving. After defecation, the pain subsides.
  • Disorder of the stomach, often avoiding diarrhea, in which feces are excreted in small quantities. The reason is a disruption of the rapid function of the intestines.
  • Apathy, slackness.
  • Reduced usefulness.
  • Losing sleep does not bring a surge of strength.
  • Pain, pulling, in the lower abdomen with vaginity.

The return of a patient to medical care with significant signs and symptoms is often the reason for hospitalization. And here it is necessary to reveal the main reason.

When tests are ordered

In case of certain pathologies, care must be taken to increase the supply of amylase to the blood, and the strength of the enzyme in the blood does not increase.

A biochemical blood test allows for a more accurate determination of rhubarb. Recognize it in the following situations:

  • A fiery reaction in the throat, which results in mumps, blockage, etc.
  • Viral, infectious pathologies.
  • Blood diabetes.
  • Hostria pancreatitis.
  • Cystic fibrosis (cystic fibrosis) is a disease caused by a mutation of a gene that affects the cell's salt metabolism.

The analysis is intended for acute pain in the abdominal area, as indicated by pathology of the intestinal tract.

How to normalize display

Amylase generation is an independent process in the body. If you are careful not to exceed the norm, it is necessary to carry out adequate treatment, otherwise this will lead to an unfavorable outcome for the patient and may lead to an unsafe life.

Prescribing unnecessary therapy may lead to false evidence. Self-care may not only be ineffective, but also lead to disastrous consequences.

Therefore, therapeutic approaches are only possible after the procedure has been carried out and an accurate diagnosis has been made. It is their fault to focus on identifying the causes of the pathological condition.

The purpose of the drugs varies according to the method of relieving headaches.

Treatment is determined on an individual basis, depending on the insurance category, the stage of illness and the patient’s condition.

Diet

In cases of cervical diabetes, pancreatitis, damage to the intestinal tract and other pathologies, it is necessary to follow a special diet. It is important to adjust your diet to reduce amylase.

The diet is due in advance:

  • Necessary control over the amount of protein reaching the body.
  • It is necessary to reduce or exclude carbohydrates and fats from your diet as much as possible.
  • It is important to use with lubricated, hot, salted, smoked and sour herbs, alcoholic drinks. Tsi scrape the mucous membrane of the scutum.
  • It is necessary to limit the supply of cells to the body.
  • It is not recommended to use marinades.
  • You cannot eat tsibul, chasnik, or radish.
  • You should include a number of fresh vegetables and fruits, natural juices, and cereals before your diet.
  • Fish and meat are available in low-fat varieties.

You need to take urchin in small quantities 5-6 times a day.

Improper feeding is detrimental to the child's life, allowing the child to grow up to speed up the bathing period.

Heritage

If a stable impairment of the level of the enzyme is detected, it is necessary to carry out competent, and for smut, proper therapy.

In another case, the following complications may arise:

  • Pathologies of ruminant disease and formation of ruminant disease (most often encountered in women).
  • Destroy the exchange of speech.
  • Formation of underdevelopment (anemia).
  • Decreased vagi.
  • Dry skin.
  • The brittleness of hair and nails has improved.
  • Development of sugar diabetes.

If the function of the bowel and intestines is impaired, the urine is more likely to digest and become over-poisoned. As a result, it can lead to bloating, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.

If a high level of the enzyme is detected, it is necessary to treat the child intermittently and remove it from the diet. Avoid unpleasant symptoms and protect your health forever.

Amylase is an enzyme synthesized in subcutaneous and green plants. The blood pressure rises most often in acute and chronic pancreatitis. However, there may be rare causes of hyperamylasemia.

What is blood amylase?

Amylase is an enzyme of the herbal system that is produced by grass and grass vines. The subscutum is an organ of external and internal secretion, located behind the scutum. It vibrates various enzymes that help break down food products into the intestines, and hormones (for example, insulin and glucagon).

Amylase breaks down starch into small carbohydrate groups and monosaccharides. In healthy people, 40 - 45% of blood amylase is generated by the subslant, and 55 - 60% - by the mucous membranes. In addition, amylase is located in the fallopian tubes, the middle of the cysts, testicles, legs, thyroid gland, tonsils, breast milk, sweat, tears and other malignant deposits. However, these types of amylase reduce the concentration in the blood to a lesser extent.

In some cases, the substernal cell may be damaged or burned, which leads to excess or insufficient amylase production. A pathological change in the amount of amylase in the blood may be a sign of damage to the functioning of the substomach.

Who needs amylase testing?

Rhubarb amylase may be found in blood serum. Sometimes it is detected in the samples of the cut - such an analysis is called diastasis. Doctors usually prescribe a blood test for amylase if there is a suspicion that the patient has a disease of the pancreas - pancreatitis, cancer or bladder disease. Symptoms of these illnesses can be varied, but are most often common:

  • Heavy pain in the stomach.
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Increase in temperature.
  • It's boring and vomiting.

How to prepare before taking an amylase test?

Before the analysis, people cannot drink alcohol. Also inform the doctor about all medical services that are accepted. Taking medications may change test results. The doctor can tell the patient which drugs need to be changed or the dose reduced. Medicines that can change the level of amylase in the blood:

  • Aspirin.
  • Tablet contraceptives.
  • Cholinergic properties.
  • Methyldopa.
  • Opiates (Promedol, Omnopon and morphine).
  • Thiazide diuretics (Hydrochlorothiazide, Indapamide).

What about the progress of amylase?

Increases in amylase in the blood are called hyperamylasemia. Most often, amylase levels may be elevated in the blood due to diseases of the subcutaneous tissue. Acute or chronic pancreatitis develops when the enzymes that break down food products in the intestinal tract are activated in the subcutaneous tissue and deteriorate. And here the level of amylase in the blood increases.

Also, hyperamylasemia may be associated with pseudocysts, subcutaneous injury and pancreatic ascites. Traumatic surgery of the subcutaneous area may result from blunt abdominal trauma, surgery on the abdominal cavity or the retroperitoneal space. Amylase in the blood can increase in case of kidney disease and chronic cholecystitis. Ruminous stones can cause a blockage of the duct of the subslunt.

Hyperamylasemia can also be caused by diseases of the common weed worms. Parotitis usually develops as a result of injury or surgery on the protozoa, radiation exposure to the area of the ear or ear gland, or stones in the protozoa. Another reason for the incidence of sinuses is chronic alcoholism. Some blood amylase increases in liver and nitric insufficiency, which is associated with a decrease in its elimination from the body.

Macroamylasemia is a simple disease in which amylase binds to a large molecule (for example, an immunoglobulin or a polysaccharide), resulting in a decrease in its excretion from the body through nitric acid. Approximately 2–5% of patients with elevated blood amylase may have macroamylase.

Also, before the level of amylase in the blood rises, intestinal diseases can occur, including inflammatory diseases of the small intestine, mesenteric thrombosis, intestinal obstruction, appendicitis and peritonitis. This is due to enhanced absorption from the intestinal lumen. When perforation occurs in the lumen of the herbal tract, it is instead lost into the peritoneal emptying, causing inflammation and becoming a common cause of absorption of amylase through the peritoneum, which can cause hyperamylasemia. Other causes of increased amylase in the blood may include postnatal vaginosis, fallopian tubes and ovaries, and salpingitis.

Rare causes of hyperamylasemia may include malignant tumors of the leg, ovaries, subglottis and colon, pheochromocytoma, thymoma, multiple myeloma and breast cancer. Also, amylase can be elevated in acidosis, systemic worm disease, pneumonia, traumatic brain injury, opiosis, cerebral aortic aneurysms, anorexia and bulimia, caused by organic phosphates. Sometimes hyperamylasemia is avoided in case of severe polytrauma, after surgery on the heart due to stagnation of the blood flow.

Normal blood amylase values

The normal values of blood amylase depend on the laboratory in which the analysis is carried out and the type of reagents. In some cases, the norm is a concentration of 23 – 85 OD/l, in other cases – 40 – 140 OD/l. People who have undergone an amylase test can check the reference standards with a specific laboratory. After testing test results, you should consult a doctor who can interpret them.
